Mickey Mouse is a humorous anthropomorphic animal cartoon character and serves as the official mascot of The Walt Disney Company. Created in 1928 by Walt Disney and Ub Iwerks at Walt Disney Studios, Mickey has become one of the most iconic and recognizable figures worldwide. Typically depicted wearing red shorts, large yellow shoes, and white gloves, Mickey Mouse made his initial appearance in a test screening cartoon called *Plane Crazy*. He officially made his debut in the groundbreaking short film *Steamboat Willie* (1928), one of the earliest cartoons with synchronized sound. Over the years, Mickey has starred in more than 130 films, including notable titles such as *The Band Concert* (1935), *The Brave Little Tailor* (1938), and *Fantasia* (1940). While primarily featured in short films, Mickey has also appeared in some feature-length productions. Remarkably, ten of his cartoons received nominations for the Academy Award for Best Animated Short Film, with *Lend a Paw* winning the Oscar in 1942. In 1978, Mickey Mouse became the first cartoon character to be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
